Welcome to Frogs Hole Barn

Frogs Hole Barn is no longer available as holiday accomodation on www.kentholidaylet.com.

The Barn is to be found on what was once part of a working farm - Frogs Hole Farm, better known in the area for its Asparagus.

The original Barn was built around the 1700's and relocated to its current position around the 1840's. The accomodation that was available came as a later extension to the barn, as and when extra space for various farming uses were  needed to be met. The Barn, together with the Wealden House (at Frogs Hall Farm) and Frogs Hole Oast were all Grade 11 Listed in the early 1980's and the Barn was converted to its current form in the 1980's.

The smaller Barn was destroyed in the Great Storm of 1987 and rebuilt to house an indoor swimming pool.

There is the front driveway which serves the main Barn and a second, rear driveway for the use of our Guests.

The pond is host to a Moorhen Family and a pair of Ducks who, for the first time in many years have managed to bring up their chicks to adulthood.

The far sighted view from the accomodation sees up to the top of a small forested hill, carpetted with Bluebells to herald in the summer and which is part of the working agricultural farm.

The farmer grows asparagus, the sales of which lasts around six weeks at the beginning of summer. They also produce potatoes and broad beans and wheat, rotating the produce on each field to keep the soil rich for growing.

Dogs are permitted on Request.
